Movement-Based Meditation for Heart Healing and Emotional Resilience
Qigong (pronounced chee-gong) is an ancient Chinese practice combining gentle movement, breathwork, and focused intention to cultivate vital energy and balance. This evolving practice includes healing postures, movement, self-massage, breathing techniques, guided imagery, meditation, and chanting.
As a certified 1000 Hands Buddha Qigong instructor, Kristine teaches this specific form developed for healing the heart. This practice helps you process negative emotions and adverse experiences while promoting a broader perspective and more compassionate, conscious understanding of reality. Through regular practice, students develop a more resilient and better-regulated nervous system.

Frequently Asked Questions
1000 Hands Buddha Qigong is a Liu Family tradition based on the imagery and postures of Buddha. It is a specific form of medical Qigong designed for healing the heart. This practice integrates gentle movement, breathwork, self-massage, and meditation to help process difficult emotions, cultivate compassion, and foster the heart-brain connection. The heart-healing focus makes it particularly valuable for those working through stress, trauma, grief, or seeking greater emotional resilience.
Classes guide you through a comprehensive practice including healing postures, flowing movements, breathing techniques, guided imagery, and meditation. The practice is gentle and accessible to most fitness levels. You’ll learn techniques you can practice at home to continue cultivating balance and resilience in your daily life.
No previous experience is necessary. Kristine guides students of all levels through the practice, making it accessible whether you’re new to mind-body practices or have experience with yoga, tai chi, or meditation.
Regular practice can help you:
- Process negative emotions and challenging life experiences
- Develop greater emotional resilience
- Regulate your nervous system more effectively
- Cultivate compassion and a broader perspective
- Reduce stress and promote relaxation
- Improve energy flow and vitality
- Enhance mind-body-spirit connection
While both work with the body’s energy system, Qigong classes teach you an active practice you do yourself, whereas acupuncture is a treatment you receive. Kristine incorporates her Qigong training into acupuncture sessions by channeling grounded, universal healing energy, but the classes teach you the practice so you can cultivate your own healing capacity.
